Trail Name: BULL (aka BA)
Nights Out: 48, as of 05/2015
Age (2009): 50+
Occupation: VP SALES (Performance Paper Products)
Favorite Beverage: TRAIL (BOURBON,) COUCH (RED WINE), LUNCH (WATER)
Favorite Trail: ROUGH FORK/Boogerman (TRAIL OF THE GIANT POPLARS)
Worst Trip: SHELTOWEE TRACE/LAUREL LAKE - BP Death March - 13 plus miles in cold/rainy conditions over ATV worn trails with abandoned garbage to reach no planned campsite. The next two days were good, but no notable destination or feature.
Favorite Campsite: DEVIL'S BED CHAMBER (MT. STERLING) - Bad site for water and wood, but you could not hear a sound.
Favorite Destination: GREGORY'S BALD - Stunning change in landscape from deep forest to acres of oat grass and azalea with a remarkable panoramic view.
How I got my Trail Name: Not sure, Physical stature, quick climber?
Random Thoughts or Advice: The trips always start off as "another fine mess somebody talked me into" but turn out to be worthwhile and rewarding. Backpacking is cold, uncomfortable, physical torture not recommended for sissies. Once you're over the physical torture part it is all down hill.
